California Association Junior Olympic Championships – Top 3
teams and top 25 advance to Regionals. Great Job everyone!

The Wildcats had a WILD weekend at the Regional Junior Olympics Championships at
Mt SAC. Top 20 & Top 3 Teams advance to the Junior Olympic Cross Country
National Championships, Rhode Island, December 10th 2005.  Congratulations to all
that qualified today.   

In the Midget Girls
Brooke Kather qualifies for Nationals placing 10th (11:41) with a 5 sec improvement
from last week
Jessica Dueker ran tough, she just missed qualifying placing 24th (12:28)

In the Youth Girls
Alex Dunne stuns the field of runners once again ….  Winning the regional youth
girls title with a 10 sec gap and a 10 sec improvement from last week (15:03)
Katie DeYoung runs a gusty race… kicking and holding her ground the last 50M then
collapsing at the finish line to capture the last qualifying spot 20th with a 31 sec
improvement (17:01)   
Katie Wolfson also runs a tough race placing 24th (17:39)
In the Youth Boys
Anthony Lacambra qualifies and has the biggest improvement of the team placing
10th (14:27) with a 49 sec improvement
Zak Phillips qualifies and has the best finish of the day, picking off 4 runners the last
200M of the race and places 14th (14:43)
In the Intermediate Girls – The Girls Team places 3rd and all Advance to Nationals
