2nd Annual Cross Country Altitude
Running Camp will
be held from
Saturday August 1st – Wednesday August
5th

Lakefront
with dock, hot tub, pool table, foosball table,
barbecue
and picnic table,
Ranch House.
495 Cienega, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315
The
cost for camp will be $250.00 per Camper, which includes t-shirt, food,
Transportation and lodging.
(Limited to 20 campers)

know how many runners you can fit in your Van or car.

Ø All athletes must have their emergency
form signed and given to
Coach Phelps to be able to go! NO FORMS! NO CAMP!!

reservation.
We have to hurry and reserve
our House before any group gets it, so

athlete to fill your child’s spot.

We will
be meeting at JSerra HS in the parking lot
at 9:00 am on Saturday morning,
Aug 1stth
Ø We will be stopping off for a early
lunch on the way up to camp
Sunday, please make sure you have money
to buy your lunch
Ø
Get
your money in as soon as possible.
This is what you will need:
Ø Running Clothes & Shoes for 10 runs
Ø Sweats
Ø Soft luggage--no suitcases please
Ø Some warm clothes for the evening
Ø Swim suit & beach towels (there is
no pool) Lake only
Ø Make sure to bring your own Bath towel
Ø You must bring your own bedding: bed sheets or sleeping bag, pillow
& blanket,
Ø Games and sports equipment ARE needed (e.g., softball equipment,
volleyball, Frisbees, football etc).
Ø You may bring your own DVD’s , Games,
etc, but please make sure to
put your name on them.
What to expect:
Here are some of the events you will be participating in over Four
days.
Ø Meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) are
paid for by the camp. (We will
have Snacks for you)
Ø Keep your area clean, pick up after
yourselves and obey all camp rules.
Ø We will have workouts twice a day.
(Early in the morning and in the
afternoon)
Ø We will go bowling one day and also to
the Movies. (You pay for that)
Ø You will be a part of a cleaning crew
for one whole day (3 meals).
Ø On Saturday afternoon you will be
involved in our first run - 3 to 4 miles
Ø You will have a set time to go to bed
and wake up.
Ø This is in a residential neighborhood so
all care should be taken to not
To bother the neighbors.
Ø Swim
Beach opens at Meadow Park. Swim Beach offers a sandy beach, picnic grounds and
volleyball courts along the lake. Hours
are noon to 5 p.m
Ø No one will be allowed to make any noise
before 7am or after 10 pm.
This rule will be enforced to its fullest
or you will be asked to leave
camp and your parents will have to come
pick you up
Ø You will have free time during the day
and evenings
Camp will always be a fun experience
for those who attend. You learn a lot
about your team and teammates.

I herby request that my son/daughter be
permitted to participate in the South Orange County Running Camp. As a
condition of being allowed to do so, I hereby release, hold harmless and
discharge the South Orange County Running Camp (including but not limited to
the coaching staff and volunteers) as well as the Ranch House Lodge and its
staff, from any and all claims for personal injuries or property damage that my
son/daughter may suffer as a result of participation at the South Orange County
Running Camp, whether or not such injuries or damage are caused by the
negligence (active or passive) of the South Orange County Running Camp Club
(including but not limited to the coaching staff and volunteers). In the event
of sudden illness, accident or injury which may occur while my son/daughter is
engaged in an activity supervised by the South Orange County Running Camp, and
their representatives, when neither the parents, guardian or designated family
physician can be contacted, I hereby give my consent for any and all emergency
treatment as shall be deemed necessary under the circumstances by any licensed
physician.
