CROSS COUNTRY
November 9th 2003
The South Orange County Wildcats Youth Cross Country team
competed in the Southern California Association Championship. The
top 25 and the top 3 teams advance to the Junior Olympic Cross
Country Regional Championships in Las Vegas on November 23rd.
The Wildcats had some top performances.
In the Bantam girls division (8-9) 3K Brooke Kather advances as she
placed 14th (12:48)
In the Bantam boys division (8-9) 3K Chad Calderon advances as he
placed 25th (11:58)
In the Youth girls division (12-13) 4K, Stephanie Gaffney advances
as she placed 17th, Lara Hughes placed 28th and Anja Hughes
placed 29th
In the Youth Boys division (12-13) 4K, Ryan Cherrie advances as he
placed 10th (11:50) and Kevin Kuechler placed 42nd
In the Intermediate Girls division 13-14) 5K, the Intermediate girls
team places 1st and advances, Jamie Cantenbury wins the event
(19:04) Darien Buc-Hall places 2nd (19:05) Caitlin Cawley places 3rd
(19:16) Tanya Leony places 6th (20:35) Gennie Hanlin places 7th
